On the Road Again

San Diego Dine Around

Monday, February 13 starting at 6:15 p.m.

NOTE: Summit attendees should check in with the San Diego Tourism Authority booth for more information.

Little Italy

Today, San Diego’s most dynamic food and drink scene is centered in the Downton neighborhood of Little Italy. It’s a place where the past meets the present, where Top Chef alums have set up shop next to old-school eateries that remain treasured landmarks. This easily walkable neighborhood has many Italian and non-Italian options as well as a small Food Hall with 6 stalls surrounding a beautiful piazza and fountain.

Old Town

Quaint boutiques, mouth-watering restaurants, colorful art galleries and festive theatres also populate Old Town, making it a not-to-be-missed stop. Mexican cuisine is the specialty in Old Town. Here you’ll find authentic delectable fare at any of the many cantinas. Just follow the aroma of freshly made tortillas and take a seat outside on the patio. Enjoy the sounds of local mariachi or watch traditional folkloric dancers as you sip on the best margaritas in town.

Convoy District

San Diego’s rich pan-Asian culture shines year-round in the Convoy Pan Asian Cultural and Business Innovation District where you can find door-to-door restaurants, tasty dessert shops, colorful Asian supermarkets and exciting nightlife venues. While the neighborhood is not as polished for visitors as others may be, the food quality and variety are exception and worth the visit!

Gaslamp Quarter

In the historic Gaslamp Quarter, where modern architecture and Victorian-Age buildings stand side-by-side, you’ll discover eclectic galleries, chic boutiques, trendy nightclubs, rooftop bars, gastropubs, craft beer haunts and fine dining restaurants lining the streets. After dark, the city transforms into a sophisticated playground for adults. With an endless variety of posh night clubs, sizzling music venues and sky-high rooftop bars, there’s plenty of ways to enjoy a memorable night on the town.
