Option 1: Embarcadero Experience

Sightseeing Tour 1 – Embarcadero Experience
(Bus to depart at 9:30 and return to hotel by 1:30pm)
Maximum:  45 People

This tour includes tickets to:
USS Midway aircraft carrier museum (lunch at Cafe’ 41)
San Diego Maritime Museum
One-hour harbor cruise aboard City Cruises

Plan your own schedule at the Embarcadero.  Visit one or all of the museums included!

The U.S.S. Midway has 10 acres of exhibits/displays and over 30 restored aircraft.  Climb aboard WWII era restored cockpits!  You can tour the entire ship from the Bridge to the Engine Room with exhibits on all levels.  Enjoy a 15-minute film about one of the most important Naval battles of WWII in the Battle of the Midway Theatre.

Board and explore the upper decks of a world-class collection of National Historic Landmark Vessels at the Maritime Museum that includes sailing ships, steam-powered and submarines.  Visit the many exhibitions and learn about technology and the navigation charting of the seas, technological revolution of steam power, model making and more!

Enjoy a one-hour professionally narrated tour with beautiful views of the San Diego skyline with your host City Cruises.  You will cruise by Seaport Village, Shelter Island, ship-building facilities, Coronado Island, Point Loma and Cabrillo National Monument.  You are likely to see a variety of marine animals and birds.  Be sure to bring your camera!

Option 2: Balboa Park Explorations

Sightseeing Tour 2 – Balboa Park Explorations
(Bus to depart at 9:30 and return at 1:30)
Maximum:  45 People

This tour includes:
Guided tour of Balboa Park
Tickets to the world famous San Diego Zoo
Lunch vouchers to eat at one of the food outlets at the San Diego Zoo

Balboa Park is home to 1,200 acres of lushly planted gardens, trails, performing arts venues and more than 16 museums.  Some of the museums include Comic-Con, Fleet Science Center, Museum of Us and many more.  There are 19 beautiful gardens such as the Alcazar Garden, EthnoBotny Children’s Peace Garden, Veterans Memorial Garden and the Japanese Friendship Garden.  While you could spend an entire week in the Park, your guide will give you a tour that will make you want to return.  At the conclusion of the tour you may elect to continue on your own in the Park or to visit the San Diego Zoo.

The San Diego Zoo is home to over 12,000 rare and endangered animals in the 100-acre park.  Two exhibits new this year are the Komodo Kingdom and the Hummingbird Habitat.  Enjoy your time wandering the grounds and watching the animals/reptiles.  Whether your favorite is a Lemur or a Koala Bear, there are sure to be lots of smiles!  And whenever you get hungry you can cash in your vouchers for lunch at one of the Zoo food outlets.
