Seamless and Secure Travel Commission Calls for U.S. Travel System Reforms

Yesterday, the U.S. Travel-led Commission on Seamless and Secure Travel released a new report, A Vision for a World-Class Travel System in America, outlining the Commission’s recommendations for the Trump Administration and Congress to enhance security, efficiency and the traveler experience to improve the United States’ competitiveness in the global travel industry. 

Noting that major reforms were long overdue, the Commission report stressed the urgency in addressing the recommendations due to the major events coming to the U.S. over the next decade, starting this year with the 2025 Ryder Cup and FIFA Club Cup. International visitation will be vastly accelerated in 2026 for the FIFA World Cup, which is expected to place significant pressure on the current U.S. travel systems.
