NPS Launches New Online Application for RBCT CUAs

Road-based commercial tour (RBCT) operators that plan to operate in 2025 in parks that have historically issued RBCT Commercial Use Authorization permits (CUAs), will apply for those RBCT CUAs via the new online CUA system.

The online CUA system houses all types of CUAs, so you can search for the correct application either by park or by service – Road-based Commercial Tours. Existing RBCT CUA fees will not change for the 2025 season, so operators should note fees may be different across individual parks.

The online system streamlines the application process by creating a user profile for applicants. The creation of a user profile means that applicants will not need to reenter business information or upload required documentation each time they apply for an RBCT CUA because the user profile will securely store that information and incorporate it into each application.

Please keep in mind that application seasons vary by park, so not all parks will begin accepting applications at the same time. To learn more, please visit the NPS CUA program website.
